What’s This Thing Called Death?

Filed under: Paranormal — Frank Fiore @ 4:30 PM

Hey… did you ever wonder what happens after we die? Many have… and many have constructed the strangest theories around death. This article is all about dying… and how many people in the world think it happens. Will we be pushed out into the trashcan of the universe? Will we become mindless zombies without programming? Will we become a tree? What does happen to us after we die? Nobody knows… but these theories sure do give readers some food for thought!

The Giant Brain Goes To The Bathroom?

One theory that has been around for decades is that the universe is just a giant brain. It could be just one brain in one being, or the universe could be a brain in a vat, surrounded by other brains. That would make our solar system like a brain cell, making us an insignificant speck to the brain. Everything in human history is nothing more than a microscopic blip in the grand scheme of things. What does it matter what death means on that scale? Well, since it’s an integral part of our life, it is important to humans to understand. What happens if we are just part of a brain? Well, the same thing that happens with dead cells, humans excrete them through the waste we create. So, once you die, your consciousness would be used up and then pushed out of the universe, into wherever the Universe puts its waste.

The Bigger World…

Reincarnation is a concept that once you die, the soul moves on to another body. It’s one of the main beliefs in Indian and Eastern religions, making it a well-known theory of what happens after death. Where it gets a little bit weirder is that, when these theories were first put forth, humans had no idea how complex and mysterious the universe really is. What if your consciousness does leave your body and moves somewhere else in the Universe? What if it moved along and you became something much more cosmic? Your consciousness could be out there somewhere and be used again, for anything. Your next life you could be literally anything in the entire universe. You could be reincarnated as another human, a green alien, or a conscious tree that covers an entire planet or even something that the human mind can’t grasp or understand. What you could become after death is limitless. Seriously. You’ll break your brain if you think about this too hard.

Over and Over and Over…

Ever get the feeling of déjà vu? Well, what if your whole life was déjà vu? Life could just be a certain amount of time repeating repeatedly. Now, there are two different ways this could play out, the first is that your life is a movie that is set on repeat. Once it comes to the end, it simply starts over again. However, one danger is something like a repeating time quake, where life is like a record with a scratch on it. It just keeps repeating and never gets off that short loop. That short loop in our life could be anywhere from a few seconds, to dozens of years, but we never reach death. We get to a certain point and we restart living our life from there, but we would never get any further, so we would never die. Another, more hopeful theory is that life could repeat but we’d have more control over it. Maybe?

You Go Back To The Apple Store…

Simulation theory is pretty much what it sounds like; life is just a computer simulation. Now, this can work in two different ways, one way is that your consciousness is programmed and life is like a first-person shooter. The other way it could be a simulation is a historical simulator, creating everything in the world, including our individual consciousness’s. Think of it as The Sims, but incredibly realistic and we are just characters in the game. If the simulation is just of your consciousness, when you die, the simulation comes to an end and whoever is running it continues with whatever they’re doing. Or you could have a new simulation start again, either you re-living your life or you could be put into a completely different time and place. It all depends on what the person running the simulator wants. If it is a historical simulator, a few things could happen. First is that the data that makes up who you are can be written back into the matrix and you could be reincarnated to save and use data and memory effectively. Or for whatever reason, your life could be re-started again at another point in the history simulator. An interesting aspect about death in a simulation is that anything could happen. The simulation already has the code that created you, so it can do anything it wants with you. You can be re-programmed to go anywhere and to do anything after you die. All they must do is input your data into the environment. The second aspect, which is a bit more terrifying is that the simulation could start and stop at any time. The simulation could have been started the last time you closed your eyes. All your memories were just written in and you think they were real. It could also stop the next time you blink your eyes, meaning you’ll never die. You’ll just hang in cyberspace limbo until they restart the simulation; if they choose to restart the simulation at all. Oh no!

2017 According to Nostradamus

When it comes to conspiracies there are certain ones that are above the rest. This blog is all about a much-discussed seer called Nostradamus. Nostradamus was said to have foreseen 9/11, the rise of Hitler and several other world changing events. Each year scholars look to see what will happen over the next year. This year’s predictions from Nostradamus are…

An Unstable America

The US is predicted to become increasingly ungovernable as the year progresses. It is not known how this will yet play out, but President Trump has already made it repeatedly clear he will be putting America’s interest first. Many strategists have warned that America will become less engaged in the past and will be more cautious concerning economic and military matters.

There Will Be Peace in the Valley

Nostradamus predicts the two major rivals will sign a peace agreement. These two rivals are Russia and the Ukraine. However, it remains unclear as to when and how this will take place with other European nations predicted to support the deal.

The Rise of China

This Asian powerhouse is predicted to make bold moves to cure the “economic imbalance“ in the world and its actions will have far reaching consequences. However just last month, there were predictions that China’s economy is living on borrowed time with Beijing facing a series of internal and external threats. A leading analyst predicts China’s housing and construction sectors will begin to slow by next year. Will 2017 mark the end of communism in one of the world’s most closed off countries?

Bye, Bye Italy

Italy will also suffer some tough times ahead, with economic turmoil increasing and a deepening banking crisis. This is likely to bring around an end to the European Union.

Kim-Jong Who?

Nostradamus is also said to have foretold that the North Korean dictator will see his little empire crumble during 2017. Will his long subjected people rise up and wipe him away? Will we see a reunified Korea?

How Will The World End?

Is this the real world, or is it fantasy? That’s a question many people ask themselves on a daily basis. When we turn around…. Does the world behind us truly exist? Does anything really matter? This blog article is for those who are disillusioned with the world that surrounds them. If you are looking for an excuse to skip work today… check out these conspiracies that may shock your very world… if they are ever proven to be real…

Is It The Big Freeze?

The universe has a fixed amount of energy in it, and as this energy runs out—so the theory goes—the universe slows down. In other words, there is a slow loss of heat, because heat is produced by the movement of energy particles. There is also a slowdown in movement, and supposedly, everything would eventually come to a halt. Could this be the way the world ends?

Is It Presentism?

Time is something we take for granted: if we consider it for a moment, we normally divide it simply into the past, the present, and the future. “Presentist” philosophers, however, argue that there is neither a past nor a future; only the present exists. What do you think?

Is It Phenomenalism?

Ever wondered what happens to things behind your back? Philosophers have studied this problem intently, and some have reached a simple conclusion: they vanish. Well—not exactly. Some philosophers, known as “phenomenalists”, believe that things only exist insofar as they are perceived. In other words, your cheese sandwich only exists so long as you are aware of its existence. So as for trees that fall in forests with no one around to hear them; they don’t. No perception, no existence.

Is It Idealism?

It’s said that one of his opponents closed his eyes, kicked a stone, and stated: “I refute it thus.” The point was that if the stone really existed only in the man’s mind, he should not have been able to kick it with his eyes closed. Berkeley’s refutation of this was a bit troublesome, especially in modern eyes. He stated that there existed an all-powerful and omnipresent God, who perceived everyone and everything simultaneously. Plausible or not? You decide.

Even More Doppelganger Sightings

Filed under: Paranormal — Frank Fiore @ 8:11 AM

We are taking a break this week from the BEK encounters to talk about another strange series of occurrences that are taking place across the United States. Doppelgangers. We have already shared some of these stories—which have been very popular with readers. These are situations when an unsuspecting person runs into a carbon copy of themselves. Nobody really knows the truth about doppelgangers—but take a look at this encounter and see what you think about it.

It almost felt like a dream. I woke up to my dog, Lucy, barking. She was upright on the bed where my husband and I were sleeping with our 7 month old daughter, staring at our door like an unknown stranger was out there rummaging around. I thought she was just freaking out over a house noise. We’d only had her for 3 months and she was still a puppy. It could have been anything- our roommate, a creak from the house settling, the awnings moving outside in the breeze- I wasn’t too concerned initially.

I decided the best bet would be to open the door and show her nothing was there. It sounds a bit silly, but it’s what we do with our daughter when she gets scared, and I figured it should work with a puppy, too. I opened the door and she raced to the front door. She stood there, snarling at the door. It was an angry, violent growl, one I had never heard her make before. I looked groggily at her and opened the baby gate blocking the doorway, planning to open the door and show her everything was OK.

The second my hand reached for the deadbolt, Lucy went wild. She started barking and jumped toward me, and when I touched the metal, she suddenly changed her temper. She whimpered, almost like she was afraid and backing down. As her mannerism changed, so did mine- I wasn’t calm anymore. My heart was racing and sinking at the same time. I had been flooded with a mixture of fear and dread. I looked through the peephole. I can’t explain why I looked, but I did. Outside were two kids.

One was just a smidgen shorter than me, and didn’t look much younger. I’m 21, and she looked to be 16 or 17. She was slender and pale. Her hair was a light shade of honey blonde, and she wore it long, about mid-back, with long, thin, blunt bangs in the front that covered most of her eyes. She wore jeans, a light-wash that’s popular right now, and a thin-looking olive colored pullover style hoodie. She held the hand of a small girl, who looked to be around 3 or 4, in the same style jeans and a button-down ivory cardigan. The smaller one looked at the floor shyly, but had the same shade of hair, tied back in a ponytail. She held a stuffed toy under her free arm, and it was identical to one my daughter has- as was their style of dress. Had it not been for the feeling of overwhelming dread and fear, I probably would have asked these children in and given them some tea or hot chocolate to get them out of the bitter cold. Something about them seemed off. At this point, I hadn’t made any noise- I hadn’t shushed the dog or grumbled, nothing- I hadn’t turned on any lights, these kids had no indicators I was at the door. The older one spoke.

She had a voice that was mature, confidant, strong, and completely accentless. She held her head tilted downward, and I couldn’t see her eyes. She said “We have to use your phone.” I stood frozen in fear. How did she know I was there? She raised her head to face me directly, and that was when I saw her eyes. There was a reason I couldn’t see them through her bangs before- they were black, or midnight blue, or a dark, dark purple- they were otherworldly. she said. “Our mother is worried.”

As someone who has always been interested in creepy stories, I knew what she was the second she looked at me through the door. I have never been one to believe in these things- as a staunch Atheist and skeptic when it comes to the paranormal, I had written off many a ghost story from friends and family members eager to tell their tale. I didn’t believe it. Still, I couldn’t rationalize my way out of this- I was standing with nothing but a thin wooden door between me and a Black Eyed Kid. There was no questioning what was right in front of me.

I did not answer her. Slowly and silently, I backed away from the door, Lucy still cowering at my ankles. She kept talking. “Just let us in to use your phone.” I took another step back, and with that step, the tone changed. At first, she seemed polite. When I took that second step back, she became commanding, almost hostile. We’re not going to hurt you. If we wanted to do that, we would have broken in. I’ll ask again. May we come in and use your phone?” Lucy snarled at the door, and I inched backward, though something inside me seemed to be slowly pulling me back toward the door. It wasn’t a physical pulling so much as a subconcious need to go back and let them in.

I got to my room, covered up the window, locked the door, and sat there in the dim light of the nightlight. I heard her call me back to the door once more, and then quiet. I didn’t go back to sleep that night, and I haven’t slept right since. I know from reading about them that BEK’s can’t just come in without permission. I know they haven’t hurt anyone, but I still fear I’ll be the exception. When I told my husband, he said it was just a dream. He keeps telling me to forget it, but this lingering feeling of sadness, this dread when the house is silent at night, this fear of a knock at the door… this tells me otherwise.

More Doppelgangers

Filed under: Paranormal — Frank Fiore @ 8:44 AM

We have already shared some of these stories—which have been very popular with readers. These are situations when an unsuspecting person runs into a carbon copy of themselves. Nobody really knows the truth about doppelgangers—but take a look at this encounter and see what you think about it.

In the summer of 1978, I was out of school for the school holidays. I was eleven years old, or so and I had been in my room playing when I went to my family’s kitchen. We lived in rural Idaho. My mother, father and I lived with my grandmother. My grandmother was sitting in her rocker with a strange, puzzled expression on her face and asked me, “What do you need a dollar for?” I knew nothing about wanting a dollar, and I asked her what she was talking about. She said that I had come downstairs and had asked her for some money. When I said that I hadn’t she believed me. She said that sometimes ‘strange things happen—and that sometimes things can look, act and feel like humans, but they aren’t.”

After that she grasped me and held me in her arms. We prayed together, and I truly felt a bond with a grandmother who had never been that interested in me. As we hugged the room felt deathly cold and the front and back doors flew open with a huge gust of wind. I will never forget the incident. My grandmother was a very wise woman. I still wonder to this day who, what and why something would want to impersonate me? Sometimes I think it was just a spirit trying to help me bond with my grandmother—other times I think it’s something more sinister. It never happened again though, and I am thankful for that. What do you make of that?

Why don’t you check out some of the other stories that have been sent into us here?

These are situations when an unsuspecting person runs into a carbon copy of themselves. Nobody really knows the truth about doppelgangers—but take a look at this encounter and see what you think about it.

My grandma passed away many years ago. It was a complete shock to the whole family as she had shown no signs of ill health. My mother took her loss badly, as I guess all children do.

Months later and the family was starting to pull itself together. My mother had a striking resemblance to her mother, and she was in the process of dating the man who would become her second husband. She hired a babysitter to watch myself, and my brother while she went out on a date.

The sitter was a local girl, who really wanted us to go to bed. She had her boyfriend coming over. She shooed us off to bed and sat on the couch waiting for her boyfriend to arrive. I hear a commotion downstairs when the door opened and a woman who ‘sounded’ like my mother entered the room. She was screaming, and shouting, and told the sitter to put her clothes on and go home.

The babysitter left and the whole house went silent.

The next morning, I woke up and went downstairs to find my mother angrier than I’d ever seen her. She claimed that she had come home and found nobody watching us. She called the sitter. “Why did you leave my children alone?” The sitter replied, “Well, you told me to leave.” My mother then said, “I certainly did not.”

Confused the sitter said, “Well someone told me to leave, and it certainly looked like you.”

My mother didn’t say anything to the sitter—but she certainly believed to her dying day that her mother had been the one responsible for that mess. We had a different sitter after that, and I never heard anything more about the story.

But sometimes when I think about it—it does make me smile. My grandmother was such a strong woman; she would have certainly behaved that way if she had walked in on a sitter getting ready for her boyfriend.

What do you make of that? Why don’t you check out some of the other stories that have been sent into us here? Check out our other posts.

Another Terrifying Incident With the Black Eyed Kids

Filed under: Paranormal — Frank Fiore @ 1:26 PM

Another terrifying account has come in since we posted last week’s story. You can see it here. These Black Eyed People seem to be terrifying half of the world. Take a look at this account and see what you think… it’s pretty creepy!

One evening I was sitting in my bedroom reading a book. It must have been around 1am, and was a Friday night. My husband worked nights so I usually tried to stay up for him. I heard a knocking. It wasn’t a normal knock; it was a slow, constant one. I got up out of bed to see what it was. I looked out of the window and to my surprise saw two young children. I opened the window and asked them what they wanted at this time of night. They replied by saying a simply, “Let us in.”

Now I didn’t recognize these children at all—they weren’t the kids from next door. They were dressed in black clothes, and looked dirty. I did wonder if they were runaways, and it did cross my mind to call the Sheriff. I said no and asked what for and all I got back from them was, “We want to use your bathroom.” I was quite shocked that children of about I’d say 10 years old wanted to use a stranger’s bathroom at this time of night. So I told them no. I closed the window, but looked at them through the glass, and to my surprise I glanced at their eyes and I have never ever seen eyes like them. They were black, completely black. I got the feeling of evil and unhappiness. It surrounded me. It was horrible.

The knocking continued for two hours. This slow rhythmic knocking that reached all around the house. I picked up the phone several times—but the phone line was dead. I didn’t dare look outside again. When my husband arrived home he said that he didn’t see anything outside, I told him about the phone and he checked it.

It was live. I haven’t seen the kids since.

The Black-Eyed People Strike Down Under

Filed under: Paranormal — Frank Fiore @ 9:04 AM

Since we started sharing these stories of Black-Eyed Kids we have been contacted by a number of people. This tale comes from a reader in Australia who came face-to-face with these kids, and wanted to share his story.

I have been reading a lot of stories about the Black Eyed People lately. I want to share my experience with one of them. This took place in March 2005. I live in Australia and March is the beginning of fall, but the nights can still be quite warm. I was working at a coffee shop in the city at the time and decided to walk home that night. It would take me around forty-five minutes to walk home but figured, what the hey.

I was about half way home and it was already dark. It would have been about 7 p.m. I was just walking past my local library when I noticed a homeless guy who I’d seen around our neighborhood the last few months. He was heading toward me up the sidewalk.

I knew I didn’t like this guy because he was always grinning and staring at me and as I came closer, I made a point of avoiding eye contact. For some reason, as I was passing him, I looked up and into his eyes. They were completely black. Just as the other encounters have mentioned– there was not a single speck of white to be found in his eyes.

He was also grinning at me, all teeth bared and I instantly felt like turning to run. I mean these people absolutely make you feel terrified. It’s like nothing I can explain. Even your bones feel shaky.

I remember being shocked and scared and I raced home as fast as I could. I turned back once and he was just standing there staring after me. When I got home, I told my boyfriend, but he brushed me off. I don’t know who or what this guy was, but I’ve never forgotten it and neither will you if you run into them.

I have been trying to learn all I can about these people. It seems strange to me that they are called Black-Eyed Kids when so many of the incidents concern Black-Eyed Adults.

Another Tale of Black Eyed Kids

Filed under: Paranormal — Frank Fiore @ 7:26 AM

Another tale has been submitted about an incident with the Black Eyed Kids. If you’ve had an experience like this… we want to hear from you. Government Investigators need to get on this !

I have been interested in the paranormal for a few years, and read the stories on your site almost every day. I have been thinking about something that happened to me a couple of years ago. I was in college, and had just left a movie theater with my boyfriend.

As we were leaving, I saw a car and I looked into the window, and no one was in it, or maybe the windows were tinted so I couldn’t see anything, but I stared at it for a while not knowing why. Then my boyfriend realized he needed gas pulled over into a gas station. As he filled up and went into the station to pay for the gas I noticed that the car I’d seen before had now pulled into the gas station and was pulled up against our car.

The window was rolling down and soon I could see a man, who looked to be a teenager, with long hair. I instantly thought he was just another kid getting gas. A coincidence. But when he turned to look at me I could see that his eyes were completely black.

My first reaction was utter fear. I didn’t feel like I was being looked at by just a kid. I just had a sensation. I turned away, too scared to look at him. Then I managed one more glance and he hadn’t moved. He was still so close to his car window and had those eyes on me. I’ll always remember those eyes.

When my boyfriend arrived, I told him about the guy. We both turned to look at the guy and he hadn’t moved. He was in that same position. I noticed I wasn’t the only one who couldn’t keep looking at him. My boyfriend got freaked out, too. We both had the same sensation: he’s not human. I have since moved to another state, for work purposes, but I remember that incident very well.

Another Encounter with the Black Eyed People

Filed under: Paranormal — Frank Fiore @ 8:40 AM

It seems the story we ran a few weeks ago about “The Black Eyed Kids Who Stole Christmas” touched many people. Some of whom have been submitting their stories to us about these kids. You can check out that previous story here.

This story was submitted by Eddie V in Nebraska. It’s about a black-eyed salesman that he encountered a few years ago. From just an isolated incident the Black Eyed Kid epidemic seems to be bigger than any of us could have imagined.

It was an ordinary day. My mom, father, one of my brothers, and I were in the living room watching TV.

All of a sudden we heard a knock on the door, which is strange because we had a fully functioning doorbell. I walked to the door and looked in the peep hole and saw a black man, probably in his forties, with a black suit on and a long black trench coat over that.

He creeped me out because I kept asking who it was, but he never responded. I could just see him trying to look into the peep hole from outside. So I told my father to come to the door. My father opened the door and I immediately felt fear for some reason. The man was not saying or doing anything in particular to make me feel this way, but it’s just the feeling I got.

My father asked what he wanted and he said he had some kitchen ware for sale and would like to know if we wanted to purchase some.

My father signalling for the guy to come in, but he just kept peeking around the corner as if he was checking it out before he entered. My father looked at him and said, “Aren’t you going to show us what you’ve got?”

The guy kept saying, still looking around, “Only if you invite me in.”

“I opened the door,” my father said.

“I know, but you have to invite me in,” the man replied.

Looking baffled, my father said, “Come in.”

As the guy entered, he kept staring at me, and I noticed that he had no whites in his eyes. They were totally black! No life in them at all. My father never brought anything from him and he never took anything out of his bag. He just kept telling my father that if he bought from him he would be eternally grateful for his purchase. My father asked him to leave because he never showed him what he would be purchasing.

The creepy part is when I opened my eyes as he was leaving, he was still staring at me, and my mom said he stared at me the entire time he talked. No one knew I was praying, but I felt that this guy could sense it. It was as if he was bothered by it.

After he left, we started smelling the scent of fresh roses and flowers. The guy had never even taken anything out of his bag, so that was strange. We immediately looked out the window to see if he was there, he should have just been leaving our porch at this time. But no one was there. I went outside to see if maybe he went to a neighbor’s house, but he was nowhere to be found.

He came back about a month or two later when I was home alone. He had on the same outfit, all black eyes, and same bag. This time I never opened the door or let him in. I peeked through the peep hole only to find him peeking back, smiling sinisterly.

And once again he just disappeared. I’m happy to say that I have never seen him again.

If you have a story about these strange people with black eyes you can submit it here.
